Scoring and Surveys

Scoring

Objective classroom tests are scored free of charge using the SCALE program. The SCALE program offers an alphabetical listing of students names with ID number and score, and a list you can post which does not have names on it. The answer sheet will have the number of correct responses printed on it. You also get a summary of statistics, frequency distributions, item analyses, and items missed by students.

Examination Services attempts to finish scoring within 24 hours after receiving tests. We can provide you with printouts of the data, transfer the data to a PC 3.5 disk (your own or purchase one from us), or send an Excel file and text (.txt file) printout as an e-mail file attachment. Contact Cindy Knight for more information.

Surveys

Survey questionnaires or research projects which can be reported on five-response or ten-response standard NCS forms will be scored by Examination Services for a small fee.

Surveys are scored using the General Survey Analysis (GSA) program. The scoring results include the raw number for each response, omits, mean, median, variance, and subtotal are reported on hard copy, scanned data on a PC 3.5 disk, or text(.txt file) printout file as an e-mail file attachment. Further analysis of results may require transfer of data to your computing file.
